The Sauer fabrication group was formed over 20 years ago as a specialized fabrication operation. The group’s initial focus was the aerospace industry, where the quality requirements and tolerances are normally more stringent in comparison to most industrial/commercial projects. In the aerospace industry, many of the fabrications tend to be complex, unusual, and often one of a kind.

Sauer’s structural talents and abilities combined with our mechanical divisions have spanned over a century and, combined provides the capability of producing high-end fabrications with actuating or mechanized features. Over the years Sauer’s success in the aerospace industry has lead us to expand into other areas where complex and/or unique fabrications are required.

Sauer Structural’s Oak Hill Fabrication and Testing Facility consists of seven (7) acres of overall footprint housing a 4,000 sf office area and 16,000 sf covered high-bay work area serviced by two (2) 30,000 lbs overhead bridge cranes and multiple test beds capable of push-pull testing up to 400,000 lbs.

An additional 7,800 of fabrication detail area houses a computer operated plasma arc table with an 8′ x 20′ bed, an aluminum shop, and mechanical fabrication area for process piping work.
